I hope these numbers are real, but this is VGchartz people, these numbers don't mean much. Also, lets not get too excited too quickly. Microsoft is going to advertise the s***** a** b***** d*** out of GTA4 and Sony will probably barely advertise it at all, so its entirely possible that GTA4 will move a lot of consoles for the 360. The PS3 is still in a fight for it's life here.

I don't like Hillary at all, but shes not talking about censoring video games, shes just saying mature games shouldn't be sold to children. Since I'm not a child, thats just fine with me. Go ahead and keep retailers from selling GTA to children, thats probably a good idea. If Hillary got her way, the only "gamers" who would be affected are 13 year olds, so who cares.
I really, really hate to agree with the round peg, but hes right about Killzone 2. Guerilla has never made a good game and I think its entirely possible that KZ2 is going to be a huge disappointment to everyone. Its a very bad idea for everyone to be hailing KZ2 as the second coming of Christ based on 5 minutes of video footage, because we really know almost nothing about the game yet.
You're right! I don't get to see history's greatest cinematic masterpiece, "Transformers", in high-def!!! Nooooooooooo!!! Michael Bay is the greatest director of all time, and Transformers is his magnum opus, and I'll never be able to see that work of art in high-def!! Why God??!!

You can't really compare Halo 3 to these other games because they're aimed at two different target audiences. Halo 3, with it's purple and pink everywhere and aliens with little kid voices, is aimed at small children, while games like Resistance 2 are aimed at adults. Its not fair for this article to compare a game intended for infants, like Halo 3, with games meant for adults.
Maybe some people are jealous of Halo 3, but a lot of people just don't like their shooters to drape bright pink and purple everywhere and have aliens with little kid voices. Some people don't like their shooters to have sub-par graphics and a very limited number of multi-player maps. Some people don't like Halo because they don't like constant back-tracking in single player, and some people just don't like the whole candy-land feel of the series. Jealousy has nothing to do with it.
What is with you people who have dozens of ancient PS2 games that you still play years later?! Move the hell on, we're in high-def now! How many times can you play final fantasy 10? I will never play a PS2 or original xbox game again! Its over! Its called progress!
Keep your PS2, or buy a 60 gig PS3, or buy a 40 gig PS3 and a PS2 for the same price as a 60 gig PS3, or, better yet, play new next generation games with better graphics in high definition, instead of 4 year old games that you have already played thousands of times and should be bored with by now. Backward compatibility is not necessary at all. How many times are you going to pass final fantasy x? 100? 1000?
Why could a 40 gig PS3 play a downloaded PS2 game, but not a PS2 game on a disk? The 40 gig doesn't have the emotion engine needed to play PS2 games, so why would it be able to play those games just because they've been downloaded and not on a dvd?
Does anyone know how many gigs lost oddesy uses? 4 dvds is something like 40 gigs, and a blu-ray disk is 50 gigs. So if LO uses 40 gigs then how long will it be before a game uses over 50 gigs and has to be put on multiple blu-ray disks? This isn't good. We need a format that is even bigger than blu-ray!
I don't think the extra content is going to be a big issue, but I do think advertising is going to be a big issue. There are a lot of non-hardcore PS2 owners out there waiting for GTA4 to come out before they get a new console. If microsoft advertises the hell out of GTA4 and sony doesn't, these casual types are just going to say "hey, the 360 has grand theft auto, the 360 is cheaper and it has that Halo game I keep hearing about. I'll just get a 360." I could really see this happen...
So if it only sells fifty copies the first day, but 60 million three weeks later then its a failure? That quote never made any sense. It doesn't have to do anything the "first day". It just needs to sell a lot, and it will.

It doesn't matter if they use a scale of 1 to 10 or a scale from A to F, they'll still inflate the score of almost every game they review to appease the publishers who advertise in their magazines. Games that deserve a C, like Halo 3, will still be given an A, and games that deserve a D-, like Turok, will be given a C. The problem isn't with the scale they use its with their rampant score inflation and their money hats from Microsoft.
That 3 year old comparison has been refuted a thousand times. The 360 is not more powerfull than the PS3. If the PS3 was less powerfull then it wouldn't be able to produce the best looking console games ever made like Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank. End of story.
Of course the first Gears sold a ton, it had NO COMPETITION! What else was there to buy for the 360 when Gears came out? Nothing. If Gears 2 sells as much or more than the first Gears, I'll give everyone on this site $1000. Gears 2 will sell LESS than Gears 1, thats a promise.
Also, they really need to improve the draw distance in Gears 2 if possible.

Wow. Your post is so messed up I don't even know where to begin. So let me just say two things. First, epic will certainly NOT "have Gears of War 2 looking better than any game you can think of", because the first gears of war used almost 100% of the 360's power.
